Arab eGovernment Shield Awards

The Official Environmental Portal of the State of Kuwait has received some of the Arab e-Government Shield Awards, including the Arab eGovernment Shield for the "Official Governmental Sites and Public Authorities" category during the 3rd Annual Competition (2012) The event was organized by the Arab Organization for Administrative Development of the League of Arab States in collaboration with the Pan Arab Web Academy. The award was received by Dr. Mohammed Al-Ahmad (Director of Kuwait Environmental Monitoring Information System at the Environment Public Authority) Was held on 21 September at the Maritimes International Convention Center in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt. This award is a recognition by the Arab Organization for Administrative Development of the League of Arab States and in recognition of the excellent achievements of the Environment Public Authority in the management and dissemination of environmental data and information about the State of Kuwait. GIS technology plays an important role in the success of e-government.

The e-Government Shield Award was also presented by the Internet Awards Academy in the Arab region
